About the instructor

 

Bonjour ! My name is Nathalie. I created French Connect to provide online one on one lessons and workshops for an immersive experience for culture enthusiasts. I have many years of experience teaching French to both children and adults in the US and in France. I am a native French Teacher, certified DELF Examiner, as well as an ESL Instructor. 

 

About classes

 

They are set up online and are for age mid-teens and up. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills or getting ready for the Delf / Dalf preparation, you’ll learn through individualized, one-on-one classes tailored to your needs. I offer French language and cultural lessons using a wide range of materials to help you speak with confidence. My French classes aren't just about grammar. They are dynamic, fun and culture connected. 

 

About French Connect camp

in Nice, Southeast France

 

French Connect camp is all about immersive learning—right where it's spoken. I focus on real-life communication, active exchanges with locals, and authentic situations, all while putting screens aside to reconnect with the language and the moment.You will be placed in real-world context, engaging activities, and expert guidance — all in the heart of the French Riviera.

These workshops are open to both local and international students aged 16 and up with French as second language. Dates are set up on demand in summer, fall and spring. 

 

A typical day

The day begins at 9am with 1.5 hours session at the public library, followed by a variety of cultural activities which end close to 4pm. Each activity is carefully adapted to match the age and personal interests of the student. It includes everything from visiting museums and enjoying local cuisine to meet residents, playing sports, exploring nearby towns (using public transportation), taking notes, and snapping photos to document the journey. For me, it is important that students become as autonomous as possible and confidently handle real-life situations on their own. 

 

Transferts and accomodation

Upon your arrival at Nice airport or at the train station, I will welcome you and offer a personalized transfert service for the duration of your stay. I will accompany you to the accommodation of your choice. We'll then have you a quick tour of the neighborhood where you'll be staying.  To give you an affordable lodging solution, I select and partner with host families. They provide a warm, clean, comfortable and safe place to stay. Each room has a desk and a wardrobe.You'll have the option to share meals with the host family or choose to eat in the cafes and restaurants nearby. Accommodation costs are separate from the camp price and are to be discussed directly with the host family.

Price

Camp: fees For 1 week: euros 535  - Availability: year-round. Minimum duration: 1 week. 

The camp includes private lessons and activities only, along with public transportation fees. I will also offer a French book of your choice to take home. Pocket money recommended for museums, movie, theatre entrance and restaurant. 

Young students will be flying and lodging with their parent(s) in the accommodation of their choice or suggested by French Connect.

When you register, you will be asked to take a guarantee travel cancelation and a third-party liability insurance.
